There are animation mods that add poses and stuff you can use. Someone even added a Pair Pose mod to the site. It works well if you line the characters up right and they're the same height.
Hopefully soon I'll figure out a way to make those characters into useful companions and even put them in a place where they can't be blown up. I was thinking Rivet City.
It sucks that making good companions is so complicated!

The Burrows was a concept that was actually cut early on in the Fallout series - basically, sentient, bipedal irradiated raccoons in a post-apocalyptic society. There are some design docs available online about it, though not much substantial information.
Also, I imagine that they do give out bad ratings to all kinds of other oddball subject stuff - nude mods, Final Fantasy weapons, horses, etc. The idea is that some of these mods are pretty immersion breaking...if handled right, the Burrows MIGHT not be so, though it'd probably get blasted anyway. *sigh*

I could probably look for references of the Burrows. I don't know how to make things from scratch yet though. I could make it from another creature type maybe. The nice thing about making a creature model is that they're no harder to import into the game than clothing.
I guess understand the immersion thing sort of. I've never had that problem though and I've been playing the lombax race since the start. I still get pretty wrapped up in the game. For me it seems perfectly normal. Besides, if everybody stuck to the lore of the game, the mod selection would be pretty dry. There's no telling what people would do if they didn't have their slutty FO3 girl fix. For some reason, those are the only mods that can pass through the immersion barrier without complaints.

Well...originaly I had wanted this mod just on the grounds that it had a good looking Rocket(Ratchet) model...but then YOU DECIDE TO PUT A WOLF RACE IN!! This mod just went from "Yes I will download this" to "HOLY HELL YES GIVE IT TO ME NOW!!!" *murrs at the thought of a armor wearing, nuke flinging wolfy*
I'm not sure what the problem is. I've seen screenshots from other people that tried the mod and they didn't have problems. Are you sure you have everything in the right place? Maybe you forgot to turn on the Archive Invalidation? For that you need the Fallout Mod Manager. It should be easy to find. Let me know if you find a solution.
I figured that when I decided to try modding myself [Get off my back, I had *just* started fallout when I posted that, which is why I forgot the name was Megaton >)] (I tried to see if I could throw in my main character as an NPC,) so I happened to find your source data when I loaded *all* my plugins at once and promptly crashed the GECK X) Did you actually turn his father into a Lombax, or was that the game's doing in order to match the race?
LOVE IT! I've been playing most of the day with it... and... to my misfortune, I've encountered a problem, got to Megaton fine, not bugs, but any time I try to leave through the door, it get an error, and if I fast travel, any time I save I get an error and the save doesn't go through, have you encountered this problem yourself and fixed it?
I don't think that problem has anything to do with the race really. I've had a similar problem too. It seems to happen whenever I get too close to the scrapyard. After that, I can't save or enter another cell without the game crashes. I don't know how to fix that. I've been a little stuck on that. However, and I haven't tried this yet, you may be able to save manually using the console.
In case you didn't already know, that's the tilde key. (~) If you have Vista, it won't work in the game so you're gonna have to do something to fix that by searching Google or another engine. I unfortunately don't remember any specific links though. If you type in, "why doesn't the console work in fallout 3?" you'll get plenty of hits telling you how to fix it.
Anyway, if you open the console and type:
save "" ("your own one worded title")
and press enter, the game will save with your own title instead of the location. If it doesn't crash, try quitting the game and loading it back up. Maybe the problem won't happen again. Other than that, I'm clueless. Alternatively, you can download the official update but that often hurts more than it helps. Not to mention the fact that it conflicts with user-created mods. That's the reason why I don't have it.
If you find a sure-fire way to fix the problem, please let me know. I'm at a loss too.

Sorry. I don't know how to get the item codes. It's not playable in this version of the mod anyway. If I remember correctly though, I might have put a playable version of the gun in the box behind the fridge next to Craterside Supply. It might help to check there. It's called "Tough Love" if that could've possible thrown you off.
I'll hopefully update soon. Work's been slow on the mod but I'm still getting some things done.

Really love this mod. I have it working alright, though I seem to have some issues with some of the regular custom clothes, for stuff like the big sizes. Stuff like the pants or thong or the suit will have messed up textures that seem to rotate through different types and shades. Any idea what is up with this?
Other than that, this is pretty sweet. Anything down the tube for enhancement or something similar? Just a really cool mod.

As for the texture issues, you need some kind of program that fixes the archive invalidation. You can find the one I use here: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downlo.....ile.php?id=944
Download it from the Files section.
I'm planning on making a bunch of furry races eventually. After I have enough of them, I'm going to make a complete overhaul mod that will change just about all of the people in the game to furries. It wouldn't really make a difference but it would certainly be fun to do.
I'm also working on making more clothes for the new body type and I'm making a bunch of my favorite original characters into functioning companions. There's a bunch to come but it'll take a while.

Well I look forward to it. A change like this, even just superficially changing the NPC's into different races can really change the feel of the game and how it plays. For someone that loves to play games like this, a shelf life of a game depends on the mod community and what they can do with the game. Cause once I beat the game, the drive to play through again dwindles. Mods that give new missions, looks, and feel almost refresh the game for me.
Thanks for the texture help :3

Unfortunately right now, the mod selection is very, very boring. Nobody's made anything decent in at least a month. I wish there were more anthro fans playing Fallout 3. I'm sure there would be more like this if there were.
Anyway, I've been getting quite a bit done lately so I might update soon.

You can use what I've got in the mod so far but I'd wait for the update if I were you. I've redone some of the head models for better results not to mention I've also completed new races and made female versions too. I've done quite a bit of work since the original. If you know somebody that's better with furry style textures, that would be a great help too. That's an issue I seem to have.
More cartoony? I've been trying to do the opposite, make them match the rest of the game a bit better. Regardless, I wouldn't even consider the old version of the mod a beta. I should've waited longer than that before releasing it. I checked the old version of the mod out on my friend's computer and I couldn't believe how awful it is compared to what I'm working on now. The new version isn't ready yet though.
Anyway, I've tried as hard as I could to make a more authentic lombax but the game's constraints made it completely impossible to do it right. For now, people are gonna have to settle for a lombax "hybrid."

I really wish I could make this stuff for the console versions but it's just not possible. The systems aren't made for this kind of thing. It's not so bad though if you've got a good enough computer though. Unfortunately mine's just barely good enough to play the game.
i know that its a old mod and you ( probably ) moved on to other things, but I wanted to say that it was pretty good with the stuff that was there, it gets pretty tiring playing as the vanilla human all the time so its nice when you get a mod that gives you the option to have a new choice. Anyways thanks for the hard work you did on it.
