Meet Ozai, the king of all Guardian Dragons.
He is concerned for his people as they are very few but still in need of his leadership, without his help there wouldn't be as many guardian dragons as there are today. He feels as though his efforts aren't enough in this new world but has managed to hide his kind nonetheless, however he lost his son in a raid of a temple, he tried to get to his son but a human attacked him and scarred his cheek and chipped his ear with a spear.
He didn't find his son until a few centuries later, however his son had grown accustomed to humans as he was raised by them, he was not welcome to this new way of life. Humans hunted and treated his kind as trophies, not as the sacred deities that they were, why should he forgive generations of torture and disrespect? His kind were peaceful and caring, but the humans had turned on them.
However, out of respect, he doesn't hate humans as much as prior to stealing his son as they had raised him well, albeit he was a bit of a goofball and not as well mannered as a royal should be, he was alive and he was grateful.
Maybe he will soon come to love and respect humans as his son does?
