I remember my vision seeming to spread out, by eyes no so much sealing shut as spreading out, filling my vision with incredible depth of field. At first glance one would reasonably expect that I use some sort of echolocation given the smooth, round head and lack of any discernible seeing apparatus. I've come to appreciate my near unblinking view of the world, even if sleeping (which I only have to do a few hours of the day is a little harder to fall into. I do prefer it dark.
The sensation of strength rushed through my new, growing arms as I looked and felt them come into view. The sensations of four arms was one of both alieness and odd familiarity. There was a definite practicality here that I lacked. Though it was a little odd to get used to, now they're second nature. You're able to do so much more. I'm amazed no one ever thought of them. Pardon the pun but they're handy.
My skin and flesh continued, becoming something akin to latex but it wasn't that artificial type. I seemed to be made of a type of biopolymer. I certainly felt the stretchiness and flexibility but I did loose some in the strength area. My antennae had come across nicely and were already telling me of the chemicals I could not smell. Perfect for getting me out of danger. A sensation of familiarity at this point started to creep into my mind. It felt good.
