Deep underground is a world of mystery. Caves find themselves winding deep into the core of the earth, and some of them are rife with gems. Treasure hunters from all over tell legends of Ruby Rockhound, the mysterious grey fox who grows the treasure that they seek. Ruby is a shy fox, and tends to himself and his work. He works alone, he works in secret. Nobody has ever laid eyes on him, but they come for his treasure, and revere him as a spirit of fire.

Ruby placed his paw over some rocks, and thought to himself what gemstone he wanted to create. He was thinking red, his colour, and from out of the rock Ruby pulled out a crystal that glowed brightly. Ruby smiled for a second as he admired the way it shone. "Perhaps I should hide this one", Ruby thought to himself.

He turned and ran silently into the darkness of the caves. The darkness acts like a shroud and hides him as he gets deeper into the maze of rock. He stops by along a patch of emeralds, and checks them. They're still getting bigger, and shine steadily. Ruby is a lonely fox, and prefers it that way. Deep in the caves winding underground he grows all kinds of crystals and gems, but in secret. He hides most of his treasures very well, deep underground.

Ruby began sniffing the ground. He came upon some dirt, and began digging, uncovering an old piece of a broken gem. Ruby sniffed it for a second, letting his whiskers feel it, and then moved on.
