Thoron, when *you* work with Apophysis, you end up with the most intricate and beautiful varieties of form: clockwork and lacework continua, Byzantine mandalas, labyrinthine spun-glass webs and cocoons.

When *I* work with Apophysis, I end up with ragged blobs and scribbles.

You say that you end up with ragged blobs and scribbles when you use Apophysis right? Don't be discouraged be cause when I first started using Apophysis my work wasn't nearly as refined as it is now. My work didn't start to improve until I started looking at tutorials. Here are the tutorials that I use:
