*Obnoxiously Draws at McDonalds*
lol so again Colby decided to snap a pic off of me while I engaged in my favorite Saturday ritual, stopping by the McDonalds in our Walmart and grabbing a few cokes and a sandwich before hanging out and drawing for a few hours. I've had that Sketchbook for a number of years and it's packed full of some cool alien designs and stuff for the original Sci Fi series I've been working on for the past 12 years. I'm not sure if you can see it on the page, but that is a species I recently brought up to my current art standard called the Yogl. ;) you'll be seeing more of them in days to come.

Now THAT sounds like a ritual I could get behind! I'm uh... gonna have to get used to drawing with a pencil again I think. <XD Speaking of which, I bet you could stick that pencil up into those sideburns for storage when you leave if you wanted to lol.. yes I'm always gonna give you sh*t for your sideburns but you know I love them. You know you'd probably look dang intimidating like a biker or something if you grew in a mustache too. Heck I'm already kinda intimidated by that glare alone. <XD
Maybe you can get me out of the habit of being nervous drawing in public huh? Sometime after Middle School, probably due to the constant bullying of like.. the entire population of the school, I became literally unable to draw in a public setting.. afraid people were looking over my shoulder and would make fun of what I was drawing or something..
I haven't tried in a long time though so maybe I'm better now.

It's a very enjoyable experience! There's no computer for you to second guess yourself and decide "Maybe I should look up a reference of this for that" it's all pure from your own mind and I find some of my better concepts come from my time at McDonalds. lol you'd be surprised how unstressful it is! Most of the time here people don't really pay attention, but every now and again you'll get someone who says "Oh wow that's really cool" or something along those lines. I've actually never had anyone speak poorly of my art in public, and they're always more than happy to look over my colored works. lol XD you know, for as nice as I try to be you're not the first who told me I look intimidating! And I don't think I'd ever want to grow a stache again XD They're awfully invasive whenever you try to eat.
Man... I'm really starting to love digital drawing those. Many a drawing has been saved by being able to simply select a whole portion of a body or something and just move it till it looks right lol. I'm actually looking forward to doing some of this because I'm betting you're gonna finally be able to be right there and force me to draw some Pinky/Violet pictures.. lol. No matter what I may say, force me to!
Well it sounds like it'll be a good experience for me then. I think deep down I know no one would be dick enough to say something bad to someone drawing something minding their own business.. but the mind tricks itself a lot. >> At least it'll be a comfort to know I've got the Greaser there to watch my back if a prick does show up.
Really? I've found beards to be more invasive when I eat.. things always fall into it and get stuck and you don't notice. XD

lol if that's what you want! I'll go sharpen a stick just for the occasion! lol nothing spells motivation quite like the threat of being prodded by a spear!
And there's another part that you need to consider about that. Who cares? If they're nasty to you or antagonize you for enjoying your day out tell them to make like Elvis and leave the building and just go on with your day. They have no power over you, they can't keep you from drawing and their comments are too trivial to get bent out of shape over. Feelings get hurt all the time, it's just a part of life. Now, if they ARE dumb enough to try to get physical with you, then they signed their own Hospital bill. But again, that is extremely EXTREMELY unlikely because I don't think there's anyone out there looking to start a tussle at a walmart's McDonalds XD If anything it's just a nice place to hang out and let the creativity flow.
