Alright! Finally! Got a story out.
Honestly making a short story is kinda new to me. On top of not really wanting to give too much of the comics setup away, I wound up taking my time to make sure it was cryptic to a point and above all else, coherent.
Naturally at this point it's far easier for me to portray characters through visuals, so that was included in the challenge. Overall I think I like how it turned out though.
I assure you the next short won't take nearly as long as this one did. I didn't really have this one planned out like i have with some other ideas.
At any rate this is prior to Dual Edge: Remnant Pulse.
Xalis is laying out plans to obtain a particular pair of artifacts defined as 'Keys' that belong to Tabali, a powerful summoner and long time associate. For what reason he needs these keys remains a mystery. Whatever they may be for, the private collector considers them valuable enough to potentially steal. His most direct opportunity to obtain them will be at an upcoming auction. An opportunity Xalis refuses to miss, despite the inner turmoil of leaving a fellow historian and valued associate to fight their own battle.
