Captain Roadkill reached into the treasure chest without hesitation. Searching around, he caught a glimpse of a diamond in the clutter. Amazed that he'd found such a valuable gem even after so many had chosen before him, he pulled the item out. The jewel was crudely fashioned into some kind of odd pendant. On the pendant was a label "High carrot value."
"The fools can't even spell karat," he thought to himself, putting the necklace on for safe keeping and still trying to find out what kind of shape they were trying to fashion the prized jewel into.
"It almost looks like some kind of egg that-" no sooner had the word "egg" crossed his mind than the transformation overwhelmed him, shifting him into a smaller, more squat position, his captain's hat engulfing his head.
Inside of his mind, the gem spoke. "Easter is only a month away, little bunny," it said in an incredibly satisfied, cheerful tone. "It's time to get to work hiding goodies for the children!"
"No... Not a chance. It can't be..."
Roadkill lifted off his hat and say that he was now in a bright, sunny field, surrounded by pastel-colored eggs. Inside he felt himself learning all of the hiding places they needed to be placed. Slowly taking the necklace and cap off, he threw them both to the ground with a series of decidedly non-holiday words. His four-letter barrage did little to change his predicament.
Cheer up, Captain. At least you still have an overbite!

I did a little bit more fun things with overlays and stylized color bleeds on this. I'm kinda happy with how it turned out. I've been enjoying playing around a bit with more unusual coloring approaches.
I spent all of last night worrying I wouldn't get the pose right, but once I sat down and got to work, I ended up being super pleased with how it turned out. =)
