Lol at Max Teapot! I forgot all about that damn thing!
We only had to do one ball bounce project for our 3D animation classes (actually, it wasn't a ball but a Hershey's Kiss), and it dealt solely with exaggerated movement ("squash and stretch") not weight.
This is very cool though. The illusion of weight is very convincing!
