So my exhibit design class went and did some manual labor for one of our semi-local zoos a few weekends back. One of the things we did was re-perch the lemur exhibit so they had new stuff to destroy/use.

I walked out of the lemur exhibit to dump this old perch in the moat and hear "HEY" I look and there goes Kris(my Exhibit Design teacher) snapping my photo. I am being blinded by the sun(forgot my sun glasses and can barely see in bright sunlight). She just emailed this to me so I figured I'd pretend FA was myspace right quick. You can't tell how purple my hair is.. sad. Though behold shiny sweat forehead of doom.


I spent all morning in the lemur exhibit, the afternoon was spent pushing a wheelbarrow across the zoo hauling mulch to random exhibits.
Basically we were zookeepers for a day sans the shit scooping.

I learned one thing... it beats the hell out of retail, fast food and sitting behind a desk. Well 2 things, I also learned I'd be able to handle the work needed of me(even more so when I'm healthy again).
