I made them through an online charm printing business http://acornpress.tumblr.com :) I drew the designs, and gave them the files which they then printed onto clear acrylic plastic with their own special printer and laser cutter! It's pretty neat.

I use a 3" cellphone strap with a lobster clasp on the end which is latched onto a small jump ring where the charm and mini star are looped on.
