I think that actually looks kinda cool ouo sad that it's closed down and gutted, but the almost "fallout" aesthetic looks kinda neat

I had several others mention that as well. Definitely has very cool fallout feel to it. I very much enjoyed photographing it

Zombie apocalypses bowling alley!

XD!! Yeah. Wouldn't want to hide out from them here though, as the walls are literally built of styrofoam

Too spooky for me

It was definitely unnerving. I was anticipating running into a hobo or one of the groups of local kids. Fortunately the one guy I did run into was just treasure hunting for an art project

Same seating and scoring consoles as in my son's bowling center.
His place was in slightly better condition when we began fixing it up.
A real shame about the place where you shot this.

Yeah I was very sad to see this place go. Besides bowling here I've eaten at the attached restaurant many times as well. They had fantastic burgers and milkshakes. That place held on about a year or two after the alley closed. Funny enough two things this place is sorely lacking now is a bowling alley and a good burger joint

This is the future...

I always joke around with people about how much my area is starting to look like detroit. These places close and are then replaced by apartments and shopping centers, and then you wonder who will actually rent those spaces as well as where they'll go for fun

Man, always kind of sad to see places go out like this, feels like a waste of manual labor, especially when it's an older building. Most I can hope is that the scrappers made something fancy to flaunt on pinterist

Most commercial buildings seem to have a lifespan of 30 years here. Not that the construction is bad or anything like that. Its just when its bought by someone else they can't be bothered to fix what's already there. They usually tear it down, only to build something even more flimsy and cheap. Even historical buildings have succumbed to this desire for modernity. I honestly will never understand it

Reminds me of the bowling alley from Silent Hill 2.
