Happy Belated Birthday, My Dear Friend! I hope that you had a nice celebration, with your family! 30 years, is a big deal! I know there were presents, because you have told me that you always exchange gifts on Birthdays, in your family... was there a cake, also? My birthday was an ordinary working day, but the weather was fine and warm like it was just 20 years ago, when I had my 10th birthday. The day would have been perfect if it could have been a sunday^^ but I shouldn´t complain
My favorite birthday gif was a watch. My father crafted it out of a selfmade wooden plate, I ordered a clockwork and my mother painted my favorite fantasy creatures on it. For each number a certain painting.
Draco was 12, an angle and an elf for 11 and 1, an Argonian, a mermaid, a Gargoyle and so on.^^
I had 4 cakes, but to prevent them to come all on one day I talked to all the people that had planned a cake for me to give it to me on different days. So I received 2 cakes on sunday before my birhtday, one at my birthday, and one a sundeay after my birthday.

What kind of cakes were they? I mean, what flavors? 4 Cakes! That must have been really something! I would make a cake in your honor, but I would want you to be able to eat some of it... it would be Gluten-Free, of course, because everything that it make, is... Maybe someday! I would love to make a special meal for you, including a cake! You are My Dear Friend, and you deserve to be spoiled once in a while! What is your favorite sweet flavor. I can make just about any flavor cake you can think of! People rave over my Lemon Cake, and my Pumpkin Cake is really yummy too! And then, there is my Triple Chocolate Chunk Cake, which has actually won an award! Admittedly, it IS very good! Very rich, and dense, and moist!

one was a nut cake, the second was what we call "Baztorte", very rich in taste and sweet, the third one was a chocolate cake with cherries inside, the "Rollade" a soft cake with filled in nut cream

Goodness! That's a lot of Nut Cake! I would literally die, if I ate those cakes, with nuts in them... I am allergic to nuts. The Black Forest Cake sounds super yummy, though (that's the Chocolate Cake with Cherries inside). The Baztorte sounds good, too... I imagine it's like Angel Food Cake, but I'm probably wrong. Do you have a favorite cake flavor? CHEESECAKE, perhaps?

Cheese cake would transport me literally to heaven, but in my life only two people were able to bake cheese cakes that I like, all the others add some ingredient that makes the entire cake tasting sour brrr...
My mother can make something that we call in our dialect "Kasstrudel" I can´t get enough of this
the other person is one of my aunts, she can make another type of cheese cake that I love to eat.

I make many flavors of Cheesecake. I think the most popular ones I've made in my life are Bailey's Irish Cream, Bananas Foster, and Key Lime (which is supposed to be a little sour). I used to make Cheesecake a lot! I can make many other flavors of Cheesecake, including a sweet and creamy Vanilla Cheesecake... I wish I lived close to you, so I could make one for you, Eternal... that would be so much fun! But I would make you SOOOOO Fat! LOL!
You must have the metabolism of a hummingbird! Lucky you! I wish I had that "problem"... I would gladly make you each and every flavor of Cheesecake your heart could ever desire, except for Orange, Coconut, or Nut... because I am allergic to all of those ingredients. I even made a "Grasshopper" Cheesecake once, that was made with Creme-de-Menthe Liqueur... it was a swirled chocolate & mint flavored Cheesecake. It was really good! I love Cheesecake! I used to make one for my own Birthday, each year. I got out of the habit of cooking and baking when I moved, to my new home, and started living alone. Cooking for just yourself isn't much fun...

yeah my metabolism is very fast, as well as my father´s is fast, but to be honest, this has two reasons: fast metabolism is one reason, the other one is a vegetative disturbence or something like that in your bodies that doesn´t let us store 100% of the food that we eat, a part of it leaves us wothout being concerted to proteines and stuff
this has a bas side effect, I too can not eat everything I want, I need to keep the food I am eating as natural as possible, the bought stuff can cause me stomach ache and other stuff

I certainly know all about those problems! It's no fun having dietary limitations. That is for sure! That's why a lot of the time, I just don't bother eating, at all... I don't feel like cooking for just myself, and I don't want to eat processed foods, either. I know this is not healthy, but I would rather not eat, at all, than get sick from eating the wrong things.

I had a somewhat strange feeling myself when I had my birthday this year, turning 35 on the 9th of February so I think it's something we can all get when we reach those certain ages.
As for Eternal the rat, he looks good at any age, even as in the recent picture of him as an old rat and as always, he's well dressed.
