So, as of January, I have started a Master's Program in Entomology (the study of insects), despite having little education in insects and a background mostly in Vertebrate Zoology. Despite every reason for this to be a terrible idea, I have really enjoyed this opportunity so far, beginning with the research I got signed on to.
I am involved with studying the habitat preferences of the critically endangered American Burying Beetle (Nicrophorus americanus), and am already in the scary world of manuscripts and presentations and conferences that comes wth Graduate school. So far, I have already developed a love for this little beetle, with its hulking 3-centimeter body, biparental care, and decay-retarding enzymes.
It is the best thing in the world to feel pride in the work you're doing, and I look forward to everything that is to come!
Also I finally got work from Mike Kazaleh I'm so happy this is so crisp and classy AAAAAA THAT OLD-SCHOOL FURRY GLORY
