Exploring a new land, Arin stands are the read, modified rifle in-hand.

Per Charlesguy64: Prior to his first Avali encounter, Arin Jones was a pretty run-of-the-mill young adult. Terra-Caucasian 19 years of age, worked the register for a convenience store in the space-port on Vault, otherwise known as Vega II. (Major brownie point if you know what that's a reference to.) An Avali appeared in the shop alone, causing him to be rather panicked without a pack... Thus causing Arin to ask port security questions, making things worse. In the end the Avali jumped Arin. Next time Arin went to the bathroom he was on an Avali shuttlecraft and saw a bright grey Avali with brown plumage and green trim outlined by a mirror frame. Arin's only reason for fighting the Ruin is to protect Vault, a planet with a very high inter-species population. (For context just look up the new storyline for the game, since the game left early access.) Arin is being torn apart from the inside by the natural pack mentality of Avali, but in the end he is still best described as 'cynically lazy' a result of living in a shoebox apartment for most of his adult life. He only wants to protect the Ruin because he wants to keep some level of familiarity with the universe (things look a lot different when you lose 2 and a half feet in height) and really doesn't care whether anyone likes him or not. "All I care about right now is keeping Vault from being Nox's next victim. Species, wealth, living conditions, none of that matters to me." He will eventually take this statement back... EDIT: In hindsight I should really explain why he wants to protect Vault in the first place; aside from being the place he spent his last few human years in he wants to be able to keep some level of similarity in the universe and with any luck return to it. He'd personally be ok with lying down and dying if it meant not experiencing change in the universe... though to be fair he feels a lot more than just height impaired.

This isn't part of the Transform Me! series; but rather a commission I'd forgotten to do for awhile. I feel I was long overdue to make another Starbound picture; particularly avali-based. I hope you guys enjoy it!
