This is Blueflares immediate family.

Mother: Strawberry Frill
She's exactly what you would expect from the upper crust Manehatten elite, very snobby and cold. She's very busy shopping and ordering her servants around, and didnt have much involvement with her young until they were taught by someone else how to behave around her, and more importantly, in public. It's hard to blame her for being a bad mother, when this was exactly how she was raised. Joining with Luckystar was a bit of a rebellious move, but he's so successful that shes stayed with him, deep down she really does care for him.

Father: LuckyStar
Luckystar loves his family more than anything, and wants to provide them with a life of luxury he feels they deserve, this means he's almost always working. But he is a kind hearted and playful unicorn, almost the polar opposite of Strawberryfrill...
As his name might imply, he's got a bit of a lucky streak. His occupation will be revealed later, but this really comes in handy. He comes from a distant land where the population is almost exclusively unicorn and hardy earth ponies. (more about that below)

Brother: Nightlights
Nightlights is very much his father's son, he even has the trademark dappling of his subspecies, (those are not freckles) and the fact that he is not a unicorn is not at all surprising, to his father at least. Hes playful, and optimistic, hes a bit more delicate and would rather play with fillys who are not as rough and tumble.
Blueflare has zero relationship with her brother, he was born many years after she left for Canterlot. Though curious about him, and wanting to know him, shes too busy with her studies to really make good on that promise.


Notes about LuckyStar:
He comes from a very distant land called Trotshire. Many generations ago, some earth pony and unicorns decided they wanted a place free of prejudice, for back then it was uncommon for unicorns and pegasus and earth ponies to be friends with those outside of their species. Pegasus simply didnt follow them back then, now days there are a few living among them. But mainly it is unicorns and earth pony, and they are the biggest unicorns and most graceful earth ponies you will ever meet. After many many years of breeding, they created a unique physique. Unicorns who were physically as strong as earth ponies, and earth ponies who were as graceful as a unicorn.
=Typically the unicorns have a shorter horn, and their magic is not extremely powerful (luckystar is an unusual exception)
=Because of the extensive cross breeding, its not at all surprising for two unicorns to have earth pony young, or a 50/50 mix of both, or vice/versa.
=If they were to breed with a pure earth/uni/peg then the young would be more likely to take after the Trotshire pony.
=Most of them have dappling markings somewhere on their bodies, Lucky and Night's happen to be on their face so they get confused as freckles, but instead of fading with age, they will actually get darker and possibly more numerous.
