Man, I love carnivorous plants! Though these little guys won't be eating anything for a while yet. They're growing non-carnivorous leaves right now, they need to develop for a while before they start sprouting the carnivorous ones.
They're seriously tiny, that's a three inch pot, so they're about the size of dimes.
Should I post the rest of my carnivorous collection here?

Eeeee! I have dozens of carnivores. I have three kinds of Nepenthes pitchers and my wife (Aaaamory on here) has many more. I also have cape sundews and spoonleaf sundews. Outside I have about six kinds of temperate Sarracenia pitchers, and some Venus flytraps. My wife also has a lanceleaf sundew and Mexican butterwort. :D :D
I used to have a HUGE cp collection. Dwindled down in the last few years when my interest in music took over. At my peak I had like, over 100 different species, and probably over 1000 individual plants. Rare ones, weird ones, expensive ones. I was constantly propagating them through seeds, leaf and root cuttings, so I amassed quite the collection. Even had a hybridization program where I made my own drosera and sarracenia's.
I've still got a good ammount of plants, mostly due to numerous seedlings from the seeds of years past that have sprouted, but not as many different species as before. Everything I've got now is pretty much anything that's self-sufficient that'll survive w/o much attention. Mostly drosera and sarracenia. I've still got the little VFT I sprouted from seed 5 years ago sitting on my windowsill in my kitchen, and the most unique thing I have left is a Cobra Lily that lives in my bog garden along side various sarracenia hybrids and weeds, I really oughta clean it up.
I don't know how in-depth you are with them, or how much you know about them, but I've got tons of trivial carnivorous plant knowledge laying dormant in my head if you ever have questions. Also doesn't hurt that I work at a garden centre haha.

I've only been growing them for a short while, but I have read and read and read and read about them. There's so much awesome information out there, the internet is great for that!
Cobra lilies are the one thing I don't have that I REALLY want. I mean, I want vfts, and more kinds of sarracenia and maybe a few more sundews too, but cobra lilies are about my favorite. Them and heliamphora, but I would kill a heli. I just know it. :P But cobra lilies are native here, so I could park one outside and it would have a very good chance of thriving.

Ya, mine's just chillin' outside. Never had a heliamphora, one of a couple genus' I never owned. Most obscure ones I had were cephalotus and genlisea. Almost had my hands on a byblis, but the cuttings from the guy I was gonna get it from didn't take. One thing I always wanted was a "pom pom" VFT tho, as far as weird ones goes.
As far as sundews go, I love the pgymies, and I had like 20 different fancy Cultivars of sarracenia. Except for large nepenthes, I was pretty good at keeping most anything alive and well. Guess I've got a green thumb or somethin. My little itty bitty neps did great in my terrarium, and I eventually ended up transplanting all three into a large 12" pot that was low enough to fit in the terrarium.
They were those $5 ones you get from like Home Depot in the tiny pot. Before they got killed off by cold, (I left them in the terrarium in my cold frame greenhouse, where they took off in the summer, but it was like september before I brought them inside durr), they were at least a foot tall and 2-3 feet long, with tons of plants that had sprouted from the roots. Pretty well filled up the entire terrarium.
One of the biggest selections of plants to buy online that I ever found was here http://www.bestcarnivorousplants.co.....rice_list.htm. They have pretty much everything and anything you could ever want. I think they ship worldwide, you'd just have to check with your countries import laws.
Probably have to fill out Phytosanitary Certs and/or CITES forms depending on your countries restrictions. It's atleast a Phyto here in Canada, and CITES if you're importing endangering/protected species. Although not many cp species fall under it, (last I checked at least), so like 98% of the time a simple phyto will suffice.
I always wanted to order from these guys, but never had a ton of money, what with being 15 at the time ;).
ps. sorry for the wall of text haha

Hey, I'm always happy to talk plants, I don't mind the long comments!
Anyhow, I'm pretty broke, I spent the last of my disposable income for a while on some lithops.
I haven't found anything at home depot yet. I'm probably going to call and harass them about it on a regular basis though, since they keep telling me that eventually they'll get some flytraps and maybe some other things in.
I'll keep that place in mind too. Though most of what they offer is stuff I can find in the USA, (though sadly not locally.) So I'm not sure it would be economical to import, shipping tends to get kind of scary, and I don't have money to throw around.

Ya exactly. I've ordered from the states before and it wasn't too bad. Lucky for me, should I ever get back into really growing them again, there's a specialty nursery that does exotics and carnivorous plants like 30 minutes from my place. I've known them for the entire time I've grown plants, and they've gotten a ton of new/different kinds since I last went there, (like 4 years ago...holy crap, that long? huh).
Plus working at a garden centre, I can just order them directly from the big growers. Although not too many of the companies grow them because they're such a niche. I can easily get the $5 flytraps tho, and the same company had really nice N. alata plants that came in a 12" basket that came to $30 after our stores mark up. Big pitchers on those suckers too. That and we get some sarracenia from our water plant supplier.
We got a shipment of Lithops and other assorted weird succulents and cacti last friday. And like, I mean WEIRD! Craziest lookin' things I've ever seen. Funniest were the little cacti with another, different cacti grafted to the top of them. It looked like they were wearing funky colored hats. One of the lithops was flowering, and if you turned it on it's side, with the flower stem poking out it looked like Yoshi sticking his tongue out.

Hee. Cacti do some really weird things. I don't like the spiny ones much, but I love weird succulents.
You're pretty lucky to have a source like that so close. There is one place here that gets all kinds of weird plants, including some carnivores. The guy running it said he was going to be growing some darlingtonia from tissue culture too, which I hope works out, and by the time he has plants worth selling I'm sure I'll have money for them. Right now all he has is more pinguicula though, and while they're nice, one species is plenty enough for me.
My nep is a ventrata, so it's pretty close to the alatas. No pitchers yet though.

Pings are nice when they flower. Really hard to pollinate properly tho cause of the anther and stamen positions. Mexicans are especially colourful, but kinda finicky with their summer dormancy.
I tried tissue culture before, but it didn't turn out too well, just ended up growing a bunch of mold haha. I was at one point in contact with a mass production tissue culture company in India that would reproduce anything you sent them. Nothing ever became of that venture on the grounds that it was mucho denero. Relatively reasonable, but too much for a 16 year-old me to afford.
I always wanted N. bicalcurata, they look pretty rad with their fangs.

The healthiest cobras I've ever seen for sale is from... http://cobraplant.com/ . These people are seriously awesome carnivorous plant folks. So friendly and willing to share their knowledge, too. I've bought carnivores from many different places, and the health and vigor of the ones I get from them have been fantastic. And they've got enormous, healthy cobras. I've been to Florence, OR, where they have bogs you can walk on boardwalks through that are just fields of lowland cobras. Incredible.
