I've had numerous requests for frog illustrations recently, and in researching stories about them I found a Sanskrit legend about Bheki the sun frog! This drawing is inspired by the story, more than an illustration of what happened. :P
Bheki was a beautiful woman/ frog. One day she was sitting by a well, and a king came riding past. He asked Bheki to marry him, and she agreed on the condition that he would never show her a drop of water. Later he forgot his promise, and brought her water when she was thirsty. As soon as she took the cup she disappeared! (Like the sun disappears when it touches the water/ horizon)

It does not at all look like your work, but it does remind me of it. Artwork by Arthur Rackham.
