So I did these in an A5 sketchbook I have.
Top one - Base sketch in 0.3mm mechanical pencil and then inked with a Pentel brush pem. Worked over that with watercolour pencils and then with halfpan watercolours. Some patchy scales because I forgot to purple a few things.
Bottom left pair - Were mushed out in watercolour first and then doodled on with ink to make more sense of them.
Bottom right - Was actually drawn with blue and purple watercolour pencils which were then wetted, dried and followed by more watercolour pencil work. When that dried I worked over it with ink.
Bottom ones were worked over with a 005 unipin pen.
For working with the watercoloury aspects, I used a medium (I think it's medium...) Pentel water brush.
