This is kind of a special pic that was given to me by a friend that would prefer not to be named. Surprised me out of nowhere with this after a trip. Pictured is a hipster Frank outside the Lenox Lounge, a long-standing jazz club in Harlem that was home to the likes of Billie Holiday, Miles Davis and John Coltrane throughout the years.
I haven't been to Harlem, nor do I really know much about New York City, but many of you know that I am a jazz and classical musician. As such, I thought this was a really thoughtful setting for my friend to put one of my characters in. The place has since changed owners but is more or less still around. I may have to visit it sometime just to pay homage, and revel in the culture that brought the place to life for decades.
