I once lived as you do.. with the pain of want to be a part of something with someone who would just as soon throw my heart to the side and continue on without care.
Then I awoke to the truth that I am a Dragon, we do not pine for love lost, nor sit and wait helplessly for someone to see our inner worth. We announce ourselves with our actions, we stride into each room and own it through pure force of will.
Know yourself.. see your own worth and if the other does not.. then perhaps it is they who are not worthy.

Proudly spoken, and wisely. You knew of what I spoke without prior knowlege of my character or my past. And where I concurr that nothing should break my will, also keep mind of the fact that she was my mate in ages past, and that is a bond that cannot be broken without dire consequences.
