Something doesn't feel right about this... Why would Taylor of all people be apologizing to Daniel? And why does Joel have to make it apparent to Taylor that he's been a bit of a cock? Isn't that something that normal, responsible people realize on their own?
We got some hints really early on that Joel and Taylor may have had a "past" with each other. If Taylor and Joel are exes, that explains the whole "Necklace" argument. Taylor wants to get Dan out of the picture so he can have Joel back, so he makes Daniel extremely mad at Joel for loosing something precious. That would also explain why Joel slipped the "I still love you" line in the car back in the early pages of the comic.
If Joel and Taylor are exes, I highly doubt that Taylor-- who clearly has beef with Daniel-- would reconcile his differences with him after trying to get him away form Joel so hard literally a couple days ago-- if not yesterday. That would entirely defeat his motive. (That's time passing in the comic, not irl.)
Bottom line, I don't think this apology is very apologetic, in fact it seems more or less like a "Hey, I'm gonna say I don't hate you so I can still snoop on my ex/ your bf, and look for any mistake you make so I can kick you to the curb and win him again."
I'm gonna stick by that claim, it explains too much too well.

UPDATE: I went back and read a few of the opening pages, it turns out Taylor suggested the trip in the first place. This fits the narrative, it would get the three of them isolated and ripe for the dramas. However I may have found something else...
I may be reading too much into this, but I still want to say it. Joel had been calling Taylor, but Taylor hadn't gotten back because he was busy with college. Why would Joel be calling Taylor? The Answer: to confirm details about the trip. The Rebuttal: We don't know how long the calling has been happening, It could be months. Nor do we know what the content of the calls were. Not to mention that directly after the calls statement by Taylor, Joel responds with the "I still love you" bit. If Taylor and Joel are secretly in a relationship, then that would explain why Joel would want Taylor to apologize. Joel could keep a lifelong friend/ other secret lover. If they weren't then to hell with Taylor, right? But Joel wanted him to apologize anyways.
It may be a small insignificant detail that I'm reading too much into, but is it at all possible that Joel's the guilty lil scumbag here? I don't want to say that because its Joel and he's absolutely adorable, but still it's starting to seem like it.

I like the way you think and how deep you analysis is! We have around 15 pages ahead and that's very little to develop such a big drama in the same comic, but who knows what's going to happen hehe. Thanks for your comments btw :3 I like reading people's ideas and interpretations of this comic.
This option is false. Becuse Joel say to Dan he was the 1st person who yiff him, and after they be boyfriends. I think if Joel and Taylor be mate or any relationship they had sex, so he dont be virgin when he and Dan .. :P

Well if the Joel / Taylor relationship was a thing, that by no means immediately rules out virginity. In fact that's how most relationships are supposed to go, you have sex with the ones you love the most, the rest you get rid of either because they aren't devoting time to you, or you just don't have the chemistry. With that being said, given the current evidence, it seems like Taylor and Joel are at least Exes.
