So this is why folks love making character models?
Yep... if I haven't already said that I'm a total nub when it comes to character modeling.... I'll say it again...
I'm a total and utter newbie and I am perfectly fine with that! XDD
But having worked in depth with Miss Blue Waifu for the past few days, I've gotten a feel as to why folks love character modeling in 3D apps like Z-Brush, Maya, Blender, and for now at least and in my case, SketchUp.

THIS IS FUN!!!!
GAHHHHHHHHH now I need to dive into her body grouping, flatten them... and...
NO NO NO NO no don't worry guys, when I say flatten I don't mean getting rid of Krystal's big fanon BAPS... NO!
What I mean is taken each individual grouping of polygons and merging or flattening them into a single continuous editable polygon mesh that will allow me to UV texture map the rest of her body because right now as she stands, Krystal's separate grouped elements won't take UV mapping and things won't color up as intended.
It might be visible in this particular semi-zoom-in, but there are edge seams between the top half of Krystal's jugs and the junction to her collar bone. It's that kind of stuff between separate grouped objects that prevents proper UV mapping. But once I merge everything into a single poly-mesh I can then paint her up properly.
Also merging and mashing up the separate elements also lets me manually delete polygons not important to her continuous outer skin, and that saves file space and processing power for everyone (me the artist and you the end user alike)
That's it for this very early update. Next one I'm hoping will feature a UV mapped body as well as removable loin cloth and bra to make available other clothing options.
Also I should point out that I have forgotten that Trimble's 3Dwarehouse has a thing about mature content that's even more hilarious and strict than even dA... so welp... I can't upload to Trimble if I'm keeping Krystal's big and beautiful fanon baps with nipples... so... this may end up being a dA exclusive model.
I probably should look into something like DropBox shouldn't I?

Anyhooo... Enjoy some moderate poly - mostly accurate and heavily fanon Krystal Vixen from Starfox Adventures.
Closing ntoe: yea I may do a StarFox Assault version of her next.. We'll see. :D

Huh, so you made separate meshes for her head and body? How did it end up like that? Compared to
Little_Dragon 's Krystal model, yours is looking great so far! :)

How Krystal ended up with separate body parts is due to the fact that by default, sketchup works with triangles, so even if you started out with a cube or a quad, pixel pushing it around and deforming it would break it down into a bunch of triangles. So to have more control over the final shape of things and not fuck up something else in the process, I made all body parts as separate groupings.
Also I started out with Krystal's head first, working with an edited version of my own Yuki head as a starting point. And Krystal's body started out from Rarity's body, ripped and edited more... in fact come to think of it, I may go back and clean up Panzer Rarity some time now that I know things will look better, even for that crude model. XDDD
So yeah, my head and Rarity's body... separate groups... placed together and the rest fell into place afterwards. XD
Oh yeah, Charley Fox and LittleDragon's DAZ/Poser work is a reference I'll use for making my first from scratch Blender model of Miss Blue. :D

Oooooh I see. That actually makes more sense in the construction phase, since you can worry about symmetry once every piece is done and shaped. I honestly thought that you ripped her Adventures model and did some adjusting at first, but I can see the differences. ^^

I did kinda, especially for the face textures in my early mock up, but Nupe, this was a pixel bash of my own rat face. XDDDD

Blender isn't impossible to work with, it's just hard to remember all of the keyboard shortcuts since none of them are intuitive.
It's nice to have the space bar to pull up each command in content menu, but lasjklsajflsajf learning this app NOT EASY AS IT SEEMS! xDDDD

XD Don't feel bad I'm getting schooled in ZBrush and learning the in's and out's (giggity) of the program. I honestly haven't had much success prior to working with ZBrush, Sculptris is a pain in the booty! >.< It crashes bad on windows 10, but I'm having fun with ZBrush, secretly made a horse gal with some lovely sweater puppers on her >>.

Rarely do naturally, but happens all too often with that "Hollywood" medical touch +200cc +400cc +5 or 600... heck some girls with the guts sometimes get 800's
