My contest entry, for my favorite lil' 'vee, Nivvy. ^^ I really tried to go for a different approach, after having seen how everyone else did their recolouring and redesigning of Niv. My goal was to create something completely different that not only showed her determination to move onwards, but a softer look shrouded in mystery, as the falling rain. Let's face it--Niv -is- the rain, and there is no denying it. At least, she is in my recoloured version. Around her neck, she wears a sort of collar, depicting a mysterious scene of three falling raindrops inside a tiny locket. What do they stand for, and what does it mean...? On her tail, she wears two silver bells, which ring with the slightest of sound... like raindrops pitter-pattering on leaves in the tree tops... The darkness symbolizes the silence and the emptiness inside, and feels "lacking" of what would make her whole...; a mask to wear and a mask to share to the outside world, all those who eyes to take her in...
I present to you the fruits of my labour. After hours of hard work and much contemplation (and with a limited palette of coloured pencils to work with), I now present Niv.
