Chess specialize in research or acquisition of artifacts or rare items. They often research and locate rare artifacts and donate them to museums. King chooses the missions they partake, sets fees for clients and leads the team, very often he does so via communicator while sitting in his arm chair sipping wine. Eve does the research about the artifact they will be going after, and Hope locates the general area the artifact is located in. Faith does most of the leg work, going out (often by herself) to fetch the artifact and bring it back. She does have a nasty habit of showing off doing unnecessary acrobatics just because she can, and often gets scolded for such by Eve who fears such acts will damage the artifact or get Faith hurt. Edward does the chemical analysis of the artifact and patches Faith up when she gets hurt.
