I had originally meant for this piece to include several different species of finches, but found it was hard to decide which bird's colors would go on the Alcarin, so I narrowed it down to the Zebra Finch.
Finches, though messy, are cute and some have very beautiful songs. Zebra finches sound a bit like squeaky toys, but that makes them all the more endearing, at least to me.
