Once again, I'm a little behind schedule in posting my weekly "Throwback Thursday" presentation, but "better late than never", as I pay homage to my late mother Sheila Shell Martinez, by showing off another one of her art pieces...
Avian creatures seemed to have been quite prominent in Mom's artwork - not only in last week's presentation "Migration" with ducks - https://www.furaffinity.net/view/22662540/ - but in illustrating orioles (for her home at Oriole Gardens in Margate, Florida), most notably as cover art for monthly issues of the "Oriole Sun" and the condo directory, such as this image from "It Runs In The Family" - https://www.furaffinity.net/view/5710489/ ...
This time, for the final "Throwback Thursday" of my latest 'sweeps month' (February, 2017), I present a watercolor work Mom rendered over twenty years ago, with a bluebird perched upon a stem of a flower.
I hope to post one more animal-related art piece on one of the "Throwback Thursdays" in March, so please be patient...
Meanwhile, this art piece will remain in my 'Gallery' until July, 2017, when it will be transferred into my 'Scraps' section.
