So this is the laser from here http://www.furaffinity.net/view/22711464/ being fired up and pointing at this Chinese lamp I have hanging from the vent in my room. for those wondering what that is considering the fuck all bright sun spot the laser is making on it. and no, it's still a small dot, it's just that the camera is seeing a giant glare. Also even in a lit room, the beam is visible. even more so in person than the camera can portray.
Also, aiming the laser at my hand without it being in focus, I can still warmth from where the beam hits. and on plain white paper, it starts burning and charring instantly when it's in full focus. Even ended up with a few scorched dots on my wood desk from the test burns. FUN TIMES TO BE HAD.
a word of warning. do NOT pretend that lasers like this are toys. 1 watt lasers or higher are well into the Class 4 laser scale. And can cause serious damage if focused onto objects that can burn easily. the green lamp In the picture is unharmed because I didn't have the beam focused into a perfect dot onto it.

Said rave party would probably be better with my green laser. XD http://www.furaffinity.net/view/22408056/ cause both it and the new Thor laser came with lens caps that do this sort of stuff.
and I am waiting for these~ http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Fil.....ShotLasgun.jpg
The problem with that is you'll need a laser in the red spectrum. It's very unlikely to get any infra-red waves from a 445nanometer wavelength. infra-red is in the 1000+nanometer wavelength. you might be thinking of Ultra-violet. which I have another laser in 405nanometer, which is much more purple than this.
It is instantaneous eye damage if you get it directly into your eyes. Even looking at the dot on the wall makes it feel like you're looking at the sun. so best not to stare at the dot for longer than a few seconds. unless you're pointing it at a wall with a really steep angle away from you so most of the light is dispersing away from you. Preferably on a wall that is red in color, that usually absorbs most of the blue light.
