So I got a new laser recently. and it arrived today. and yeah. it might aswell look like a lightsaber. there it is compared to the original green laser I had gotten some time before.
The green laser is 100milliwatts compared to the new laser, is a blue 1.3 watt laser.
in comparison, a little pet/pen laser. the little red ones you can get in stores, is typically around 1 to less than 1 milliwatt. and it takes 1000 milliwatts to make 1 watt. so big Thor there is like packing more than 1300 little pen lasers into one beefy beam.

it's definitely a good quality laser. it's not a Wicked lasers level of quality. the diffusion gets pretty wide if you're pointing it out to a far distance. but this is also not a laser you want to be pointing at stuff far away any way.
it's an all aircraft aluminium build, so it's very sturdy and feels pretty high quality. though it still uses chinese made laser diodes, so don't try to expect it to as stable as the wicked lasers diodes. Since those use a more advanced electrical control system to keep the laser at a stable power to the point the batteries are dead. With these cheaper chinese lasers, they tend to dim a bit as the batteries start dying.
other wise, this is a good entry price for more powerful lasers. since the wicked lasers spyder 3 series range from 200 to 500 dollars.

That's the only listing on Ebay that I could find for the same model laser I got from a US distributor. since other wise you'd have to wait for it to come directly from china.
I would also suggest getting a pair of laser safety glasses http://www.ebay.com/itm/Laser-Safet.....4AAOSwBahVUe1O
As for the laser's batteries, it comes with a pair of 16340 lithium Ion batteries. other lasers like the 303 laser featured in the picture uses a 18650 lithium Ion battery. which is about twice the length of one 16340, but it's also slightly wider. the 16340's being 16mm wide. and the 18650s being 18mm wide. So the 18650s won't fit inside of the Thor M2 even though it's the right length.
For charging those batteries, it comes with a pretty cheap little wall socked charger. but i'd suggest investing into a universal charger like I got. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N4NS31O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This one is fantastic, especially for being under 20 bucks.
