Also, it's mainly the fighting forms. HEMA is more historically accurate and focuses on long swords, while the ECS has three tiers; light weapons, rapier, and heavy steel. I prefer light weapons because it has the most variety. While I lived in San Diego I couldn't find a good group, but luck to yooou.
