Either way, it's neat to get the latest history. I see why the king is even more desperate now - not just because his land is in trouble, but he got everyone's hopes up and now he has to fall through with them! And if he doesn't know how, then... well that's trouble! But luckily he came across the paintbrush fellow!
And he's a smart king for using words to make things work out, even if they may not do so well for long. ;P
(I forgot to mention I like the paintbrush idea! :D A nice little reminiscent bit of the past Neopian adventures!)

Thanks, Oxnard! It really pleases me that you find this story a fun read. I don't know if I mentioned it before, but the style I am using to write it comes from all the research and comments I've acquired over the months from fine friends like you. I'm extremely happy with how it is turning out.

Another fun thing is that, purposely, I am tying together other pieces of the "Further Realms" to build the campaign. Expect to see "The Bard's Muse," "Bedtime Story," and "The Shopkeeper" to make their way into the tale in the near future. Not to mention more wonderful, character cameos. ;)

Ah, I am very happy with the Paint Brush idea. Later, you will see another cool reference to it. Art is a magical and inspirational thing. A blank canvas and a brush are merely billions of possibilities of what the mind's eye just may see. Gaboo!

First thing's first: The story is interesting. I have a book I'm supposed to be reading for school but it just can't seem to hold me. The idea of having just 1 page keeps it very...suspensful, I guess...kind of like a TV show where you have to wait a week each time for a small bite of the big cake that is the epic plot!
Second: You art has gotten much better. This drawing in particular got my attention.
Third: Speaking of your attention-grabbing art...I was wondering if I could draw Avis. I love his design and I haven't really been drawing that much, so it'd be a fun start back into art (heh rhymed).

I'd be beyond delighted if you would try your hand at King Avis Brightwing. Considering as he is a core character in the story, I would even go as far as to say that it'd be cool to add your rendition of him in a latter section of the "Creative Campaign."

The "One-to-Two Page" element was one I learned to create with the vast help of Oxnard, Scooter Squirrel, and Zee-Zee. I discovered that, for the most part, people shy away from written work submissions. More than likely due to how, quite honestly, I am just another nobody in the writing world looking for attention amidst a sea of other writers. So, to combat the tendency to shy away from a story, I developed the "Creative Campaign" to appeal to those who aren't much for reading by making short, enjoyable sections that are laden with images. Pictures always seem to make everything better and less intimidating. :)

Do you think such a concept would make that assignment book you have more fun? ;)

The book has very short chapters, though. It has one chapter with only one sentence in it. The pictures would probably help, but the story itself is just not to my liking :P
