Endless Realms bestiary - Cernunnos
Bestiary artwork for Endless Realms, a D&D-like "pen and paper" fantasy RPG I'm working for.
One of the few creatures this work block that isn't dream realm-related. She gave me the option to do a few fey-type creatures instead, so here we have my rendition of Cernunnos, Celtic god of fertility, animals, wealth, and the underworld, who I've sort of melded with concepts of the Green Man and, to a lesser extent, the King of the Wild Hunt.

I can see this creature living in the woods next to the town. Have it be friendly and only wanting to help but say a kid is just petrified of it and tries to run away screaming. So then the party has to take care of the creature. Though I can't deny it would just be great having a beard that looked like leaves xD
Interesting you should mention the King of the Wild hunt because his appearance reminds me (although just loosely so) of the Lsehens in Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt
http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net.....20160511131517 obviously there are considerable differences in appearance, but the association with nature is pretty close :)

Oooh, I'm intrigued, but don't tell me, spoilers! I WILL play it eventually, just not for a long while :b
I think the most disturbing thing I experienced in a video game lately is Bioshock Infinite's DLC - there's always been a bit of body horror in Bioshock, but at one point, you're basically captured and the villain shoves a pick in your eye and keeps threatening to give you a lobotomy, twists it around and gives it little taps, and gaaaaaaah x_x I'm sorta eye-squeamish, so god, that part was so visceral for me @_@
