if you want to have a shop print one, feel free.
resizing with a simple nearest-neighbor interpolant will keep from blurring the edges

yeah. it all depends whether you want to preserve a continuous or a discontinuous signal
and most of these images are full of discontinuities, so bilinear or bicubic interpolants don't work well.

it's kind of contrary to intuition
that the most technically rudimentary method would yield the best results in particular circumstances

for non-integer scaling of regular patterns, it does reveal some artifacts
but otherwise, nearest-neighbor preserves edges above all else

i honestly have no idea how paint or photoshop work by default or what their options are.
everything seems to assume things are photographic and they default to bicubic
at least gimp and matlab do
