Roland Smith, forth year PD. Carries a Sig-Sauer .45, because he thinks 9mm guns are for wimps.
He's received a few commendations for valor under fire, including a note from the president for being a dumbass and running into a live fire zone repeatedly to pull out wounded cops. He wants to be SWAT but he's not pushing it, mostly because he likes the people in the area he patrols, a lower middle class area with a lot of shops.

He's 26, has a bachelor's degree in criminal psychology with a double minor in phys ed and physics. He's also a second degree black belt in Akido. Runs three miles a day rain or shine, benches 220, squats 400. Goes shooting at the range on the department's dime three times a week at least, puts at least a hundred rounds downrange each time.
He's single, though not by choice. His last girlfriend couldn't deal with him being at either work or the gym so much.
He rides a motorcycle, a 1958 Triumph. It barely runs and he's trying to fix it up. He tends to put himself down a bit, which is why he spends so much time at the gym.
His friends call him Rollie.
