Thanks! That would be because it is based on the Gallowglass! An Irish blade is close to home and heart, so I couldn't help but design one catering to both my own nationalism and my adoration of Scandinavia, and, particularly, the Vikings. It took quite a lot of work to make such an enormous blade and engrave so much of it, but it was worth it in the end.
Yeah it's one of my all time favotite swords aswell. I was so sad when Albion stopped producing it... Gotta save my money for the munich now ;]. Anyway great work, your sword there features one of the most awesome fantasy designs I've ever seen on a sword. The modern C96 rocks aswell.
