Hello everyone !
I'm glad to present you my new game concept: VoxWorld !
But things first ... Tell me ? Haven't you been frustrated with games that blocks your progression in game with Daily Quests, Energy limit, Raid reset ?
You could enjoy the game mechanics ! But the game itself tells you "Please do other things and come back on Wednesday". I hate this kind of limit !
I prefer playing 5 - 6 hours in a row once a week, than playing 1 - 2 hour each day ...
Game conventions always include waiting nowadays ... As well as same universe rip offs (Zombies, Recycled fantasy, Present universe ...)
Here, with my game, I'm trying to break these conventions and bringing you awesome stuff ! A whole new universe !
Welcome to the VoxWorld ! A place where the all the living beings are ... Gifted and Intelligent Animals :)
You won't find any human here, they actually never existed !
The world itself seems natural ! Rivers, Forests, Caves, Mountains ... Nothings wrong ! But some places seems to contain hidden secrets ... The background of this world seems really present everywhere !
"Yeah but what about the game ! How do you play it ? What are the goals ?"
Living Adventures of course :D But without any time limit !
Adventures you can go into can be done in a team of 1 to 4 members :)
The game itself will be an hybrid between turn and time based actions. Your speed determines your action's speed.
When you move on the field, the field is splitted in tiles. One action is a movement or a spell.
"Oh so ... This is a dungeon with random people meh ..."
No ! this is exactly what I don't want in my Game ^.=.^ My vision of it is to play with people you actually know, your FRIENDS !
Screw the MMOs with their "Play with everyone". No need for a team of 10 or 25 or 40 ... With a team of friends, you can do anything :p
"Ok ! So there is ... Teamplay ?"
Of course :) During the adventures you'll have encounters, and with only team work you'll be able to pass them.
There are 4 roles in the game: Damage Dealer, Defender, Healer and Support. Every character you can play may access these roles.
Let's say you do an encounter in Damage Dealer, but you do not succeed in winning the encounter ... Just switch your role :) You can do it anytime and anywhere for free !
"Hum ... Do I need the same caracteristics for each role ? I'll have to farm stuff ..."
Thanks not :D When you win a big encounter, you'll have some stuff. But you can choose what caracteristics will give this piece of stuff ... Anywhere, Anytime !!!!
Let's just say, you just have to prepare for a fight ! "Should I spend more points in life to be able to take one more hit ? Or spend more points in speed, to be able to dodge the attack ?"
You see, the game is more about preparation and encounter execution. No need to spend your time on farming, just relax and enjoy the story :)
"If there is no farming, there should be a leveling ?"
No ! No leveling either :)
Have you ever experienced a moment where your friends ask you to go on this new game, but they already are in the end-game and you have to level your character ...
This is something I don't want to happen. In this game, you can play the adventures in the order you want ! Want to save the ShrewdShift Forest first ? Then rescue animals of the EverSpark Vale ? Sure you can !
The only thing that will change is that you won't be able to use pieces of stuff from an adventure to another ... BUT ! You can keep the cosmetic (That is what only matters actually !) :)
So ... Here is the concept ! :D
What do you think about it ? Would you do it another way ?
Do you have ideas for it ?
Good news, the game is already in development ! And I'm working on a demo ^.=.^ !

What I'm trying to create here isn't in any case an MMO :)
This is actually something I avoid at all costs (Massive battlegrounds, Epic PvP, Infinitely open world ...)
I plan to stay in a scenarized story which could please players. Let's say this would be books that you can read in any order.
Offering an "new" challenge is my goal, every game is offering it's kind of challenge.
I'm actually a developper that worked in some game studios in France (For a total of 3 games), I have some game design and programming background.
Right now I'm trying to live my own adventure ! Will you be part of it ? As a player or curious follower ? :D
