What would have happened if Kither and Iyress were never caught? If the world wasn't ever prejudiced against hybrids? If they both happily lived on their own or in the Red Claw, on the surface, raising their family without regrets or fear? It would have been a far different image than what we have seen. A happier image, a hopeful image; one that would never come to be.
