Whelp, it's my birthday. And you know what that means! Time to make people birthday gifts! (Seems a bit odd to me, but my friends assure me that's the case, and they wouldn't lie would they?)
Sadly I was busy this year, but I *did* get one thing done I can put here. (Other things I did cannot ever be shown on FA, they would corrupt my watchers pure, innocent minds.)
This is something for Pookanfam, involving three of his cahracters. It's the start of a larger story arc that is planned and jsut a chance to get some writing done and submit something original for once.

Interesting. I spotted one typo:
"Cold be any of these. Or none. You've got to find one that matches."
I think Cold was suppose to be Could.
Oh, and be sure to not let any of those dustbunnies near a nuclear reactor. Else, you'll wind-up with devilbunnies.

Aaah devilbunnies, it's been so very, very long since I've heard of them. Amazing they're still going, fossils, from the dawn of the net! Oh those innocent days. They're no match for me now of course, not now that I know biological warfare.
Also, totally not a typo, Dolton just had brain freeze there for a bit and got his words muddled up. Not my fault I say!

It always makes me smile when I come across someone who remembers us dinosaurs from the time period before the internet went graphic. :)
Actually, the devilbunnies group isn't really going these days, but "Snowhare" keeps the antique website going for nostalgia sake.
Per the ground rules of the group: The war shall continue until the world ends or Usenet dies. Alas, Usenet is basically dead. My ISP hasn't provided a feed to it in over a decade. Ironically, I wrote my last report/tale to the alt.devilbunnies group just a few weeks prior to my ISP dropping the feed. Very fitting.
Most of the various authors do keep in touch. A half-dozen or so of us still exchange "Frithmas cards" in character during the holiday season. RL got in the way of most of us. In my case, I and another got hitched. Some are published authors these days on three continents. One just finished an online graphic novel after six years and three artists. Who knows what will happen next for him or others.
The main reason I stopped writing was 'cause my characters stopped communicating with me. Hard to tell their tale if they won't share it with me. (sigh) I think it's 'cause I was abusing them too much. Evil Author ™ and all that. ;) Despite that, I go around on the furry groups as my main squirrel character from there since he has been a part of me in that form for close to half my life.
And if it wasn't a typo in your tale, then it wasn't a typo.
Edit: Oh! I missed the whole birthday thing. My apologies for not wishing you a good one in my initial post. :)

Oh I AM a dinosaur. Lori Central, the Keen:Modding forums, the JCF... oh I've seen fandoms come and go and be buried, and some that somehow keep going. Devilbunnies... oh the memories of so long ago, back when I was on MUCKs and ED... I was on a few My Little Pony forums, before the big reboot. They were swamped and destroyed in months I remember. You keep in touch with people as best you can, but it can be so hard when the central link is broken.
Oh it's been such a long time since I painted and sketched and did comics. All of that is gone now, fossilized on my DA... Now I barely type. I think my art life is over. It was fun while it lasted.
Now I'm old, so old.
