So I'm heading to an anime con in a few weeks (animazement if you're gonna be there~) and decided to make some fuzzy ears to sell at an art table I'm splitting with a friend.
This is my first pair of ears!
They're kind of heavy because I hadn't quite mastered the process of making the base when I made them. They are quite fun to wear though, and I don't really notice them once I start wearing them. (Unfortunately, these ones need to be supported by bobby pins)

Sorry for the cruddy images, my camera is very very dead. ;;
A few questions:
1) What kind of ears would YOU wear?
2) My friend has requested some bat ears, but I honestly cannot figure out what I'd make the insides with. I'm thinking that short velvet stuff, but what is that called? Also any other suggestions?
3) I want to make dragon/reptile ears, like my fursona has. I want to make them kind of latex-y or rubbery or something. I have no clue what to use though. :CCC
And also: If you'd like a pair, I am offering them on a made-to-order basis. I need at least 3 weeks notice if you need them for an event, since shipping takes some time and I don't want to risk being late. (still lots of time for AC) Just send me a PM or whatever if you're interested.

So cute! I would definitely buy a pair if I could x3
I'm actually working on making ears to sell also. I've yet to sell any to know which are popular, but I'm making cat, fox, wolf, and tiger ears since they seem to be very common fursona species.
As for the insides of bat ears, I would probably go with something that feels kinda like suede.

I c wat u did thar.
Well this pair were made kind of retardedly because they were my first and I hadn't really mastered the process. But generally, my process is that I make a few sketches, draw out some prototype bases on thick paper and cut them out with an exacto knife. Once I'm happy with a design, I trace it onto some nifty mesh-wire type stuff and cut that out. I then use this plaster stuff to sturdy the wire so it doesn't bend or fold. Then I put on the fur!
