Specifically designed to be used against battle armor, the Spike SRM replaces the standard HE warhead with a powerful chaped charge. While it's not as effective as the standard warhead when it comes down to destroying armor, the chaped charge can easily penetrate the armored hull of most light and medium battle suits, killing the trooper inside with it's deadly stinger that travels about 10 kilometers per second.
Game Rules:
The Spike SRM deals 1 damage to the target rather than 2. However, if the location being hit has an armor value less than or equal to 10 when undamaged, the missile also inflicts 1 damage to the internal structure as well.

Like I said: it was developed to be used against battle armor. And as we all know, battle armor has just 1 SI point (the trooper). IOW: battle armor being hit by a Spike SRM and armor < 11 = INSTANT KILL!

The drill sergeant tells his recruits to come around him and the Elemental battle suit they salvaged from the field. His words were something like "Come on guys, come a bit closer, and don't let the large holes and the dry blood ruin your appetite. As you can see, battle armor like ol' Toadie here can take quite a few hits. The guy who wore this one only kicked the bucket after he got three AP gauss bullets in his chest."
