Yeah, no problem. And you'll be saying that too if you never stop drawing. I don't know completely what happened to me but for a long time, I mean years, I just couldn't put pencil to paper to draw. I feel like now, I'm trying to get back what I had as well as try to continue on.
I am not sure if this is it with you but I know that one of my faults is I am too much of a perfectionist and feel my first drawing has to be the final. That has caused me to not draw in my sketch pads and books, or even sketch practice like I used to. There was a point where I almost felt like I could draw anything which was around the time I was doing my comic but feel really restricted and rigid now. So I wish you never ending motivation and drive to keep at it.
One last message, my sister, who used to draw and was my superior rival had stopped for good, it seems. She believed there was an age range where a person loses interest in drawing or become too occupied with life and other things. I'm fighting that and hope you keep going as well.
After looking at your drawings again, I noticed, I tried to draw that pose you have at the upper right in my comic and it didn't flow as naturally as here. I think you're doing really well. Are you left-handed or right?

I just took my 2nd drawing lesson to breakthrough a few issues I was having. My homework for the next month is all sketch work. You should 100% go back to that basic thing just to get pulled back in. I also find that looking at art helps me want to draw more :)
No offense to your sister but that's simply not true. I have several artists friends and they vary in age. It is important to keep your artistic mind working!
It sounds like you need a new comic :) I'm right handed

I always wondered what drawing lessons are like. I drew a lot since I was in elementary school yet when I attended art classes in college, I felt dry. Same as one of my advanced art classes in high school. I know it has to do with the not having structure and minimal direction, I just went. Did what I needed to do to get the effect I had in my head. Yeah, same here, especially when I got here, I was so pumped seeing the work of others and those with skill I aspire to acquire.
Yeah, that crossed my mind. I mean, if it were true, there would be no serious artists around or famous ones but I feel in order to reach that level, one would have to give up everything and only focus on drawing. My sister stopped a bit after joining the military and I started drying up after working at this school I am at. I manage to push out works here and there but I used to be able to just turn on music and go. I have a lot more stressors than what I did back then and less time to draw. My mind is still working, it's my hand that just will not get with it. Although I haven't produced much lately, I still get ideas for the comic and other projects.
Well this comic is for a friend and I really want to finish it. Wow, right-handed? Interesting. I'm a lefty.
