Willa And Miss Billishire - Alone Together - WIP
Still busy with stuff...so yet another old pic WIP quick colour...
From the medieval sex-farce/comedy/romance/adventure comic in the works...Lord Tad is sworn to marry Lady Purloin in just two more days. Miss Billishire, Lord Tad's long time secret lover and the castle's major domo, has a tender realization with young Willa, Lord Tad's secret lover of just a few days...They are going to lose him, but, on the bright side they have found each other...whatever that may come to mean...But there are more surprises in store in this tale....
From a panel from a rough story idea sketch page from '12 - revised a couple days ago in greyscale...quick colours etc just now, tonight. Sort of emulating the bright colours i saw on some medieval paintings at Getty Centre museum in LA on a visit around '14.

..before the wedding to Lady Purloin can even happen someone tries to kill Willa by tossing her down a well, Miss Billishire is wrongfully accused of inciting an assault on herself and placed in the stocks, and Lady Purloin slightly chips a nail...not badly...but still...uhg!!!
...and Tad...he's already had Miss B break-up with him for his own good, and with the forced marriage to Lady Purloin only days away he meets Willa and falls head over heels in love...What could possibly make it worse - a surprise enemy invasion on his border? Treachery? Lies revealed? Mouldy salmon? - all that and more?!!!

This is very gorgeous and like an 18th century or so painting with the bright rich colors and the thin highlights. I love the subdue expressions of the skunk ladies. Their lowcut dresses are very lavish and fancy looking. And the skunks look rather..... stunning in their dresses and being... so close to each other.
i've said since i started posting Willa etc art that this will be my third comix project, following my main serious sf graphic novel about Emma ans Ash and a warm-up 40 page or so short comix story called "To Save The Fish From Drowning - A Children's War" -
these, and the Willa story, and many others have been plotted out for decades while i was too busy with animation work etc, then getting away from that biz so i could draw2 my own stories....a long time arch.
So i've been posting art for Will/etc and other stories beyond that cuz it's cool stuff and it's gonna be another two or three years before i get to the Willa/etc story and i might not be around to finish it. maybe someone else will...
There's no way in heck i'm going to live long enough to do all the &$#%!ing stories of all the characters who have wandered onto my pages, so some will only ever be drawings with a hint of a story.
in any event - bits of art and story suggestion and we can all use our imagination to make our own scenarios and stories...
