In every post I made about him I always say his species, I try to make it very clear.
I understand people make mistakes, and he generally receives positive feedback. So I will kindly explain his species to them.

I know I shouldn't get defensive about a fictional character, but the problem comes when he is posted somewhere, and said poster labels him as a Dutch Angel dragon, which is what this whole thing is about.

Then I see comments saying "is that a Dutch or ad?", "telephone rip off?", "umm I thought they couldn't have muzzle rings? Wow *blocks me*".
This happens EVERY TIME he's posted weather by me or someone else.
Then I get notes and more comments the more he's shared on social media.

And people have asked why I didn't change his design well, I shouldn't have to. People need to learn that JUST BECAUSE IT HAS A CHIBI MUZZLE, IT DOESN'T MEAN IT'S A DUTCH.

A DUTCH MUST HAVE FEATHERED WINGS AT ALL TIMES DO YOU SEE WINGS ON HIM?! He's brown because he's a f'ing elk and deer have ringed muzzles DEAL. And why is it that forever now only this one character can have a full ring?
(Don't say it's because Tohopka's nose is different colors like theirs and that's why. Because I've seen dog designs of every color and type get the same drama if they have a ring)

Tohopka is one of the few characters that I've ever made that I have formed a strong bond to. I am pleased enough with this design that I will not be changing.

I think I'm more defensive about this because I've dealt with this ever since I joined the fandom.
Shortly after I did back in 2012 I found the Dutch Angel dragons, and have been deeply involved with the species and community ever since.

And was widely attacked, both in person at meet up's and cons as well as online. So much so that I sold the suit but even doing that And after I still got drama.

And because of the eyes I got the same exact flack.

I don't blame the Dutch community for any of this because now that more information is out on them most members know to behave better. And are generally awesome people!
For the most part all this hate has come from those who at least know who Telephone is and the broad term of angel dragon.

Obviously I know it's silly to get this upset over a character, but it's when I get hate in person and online is when it gets to me. I love my elk monster and know that the more I get him known like when I start getting to wear his suit out, that things will calm down a bit.

I have a couple big badges in the making saying this species and stuff, hoping it helps. Until then if your unsure about a character, ask".
