He doesn't realize there's more to being a pirate than hating everything. Maybe that's why he isn't being taken seriously.

Did this as a little warmup, to keep myself drawing when I didn't have much time to bunker down and focus. Doing personal stuff is a lot less stressful than commissions or trades, since you're going off of your own design and mistakes aren't nearly as scary. That doesn't mean I don't like doing commissions, though! (In fact, I have art for someone else that I have to wait until tomorrow to post at their request.)
