Wanted to draw a croc. One observation I've had of anthro crocodilians is that they are either extremely fat, or extremely buff; so they're drinking too much sugary juice, or "juicin' it" waaaay too much. There is no middle ground!
So I wanted to draw a crocodile with a more slender body type, based around a Gharial-type species.
...Ended up colouring it too, yay more colouring practice! And hooray for lightness!

Oh man, I absolutely love this.
There is just so much character and personality captured here, not only in his physical appearance, but also by having him drinking that sippy Joose.
I love the look to his face and jaws, as well as that gaze to his eyes; and you did a marvelous job with the musculature of his neck. The colors and shading also work perfectly at bringing the character to life.
He's definitely someone I hope we get to see more of in the future. <3

Even the lightest-built crocs are still nice and chunky, would love to attempt a full body piece in the future to further portray this. I feel definition is still a weak point for me, but I'm pretty sure I hit on a few breakthroughs with this relatively quick sketchy piece which make it one of my favourites already. :3
