This was a 3 carat piece of Ethiopian Opal that was cut down to 1.35 carats. I did this one by hand as well. This will probably be the last piece I cut by hand. I don't have much else that's fit for cabochons. My other gems need to have facets cut at precise angles to showcase their brilliance, and trying to eyeball that is next to impossible. My faceting machine will (hopefully) arrive within a week. Until then, I'll just have to sit and wait with the patience that only a bored , excited dragon can show
