This is the start of a limited series of special characters, an alien race called Kierite. There will only be a small number of characters made, each one with its own unique looks. Read more about the race and The Sentry at the bottom of this post.

The Sentry is said to watch over worthy individuals and warn them about threatening situations in life. Some of the Kieriten have spent a lot of time on Earth, but The Sentry likes to keep watch from a distance and doesn’t often visit us.The Sentry most often appears as a large complexly patterned feline, though not one most humans would find familiar. It has five light marks in a diamond pattern on its forehead, over a pair of light colored eyebrows. The eyes are luminous, swirling with the colors of the nebula hidden within. Primarily a dark purple, the Sentry’s markings range from a deep violet on the back to a lavender color on the underside. Across the shoulders and down its sides there are a series of irregular markings
arranged horizontally. When in its natural form, The Sentry most closely resembles a large nebula,
though the diamond pattern remains as stars.


"The Kierite
(kee-uh-ree-tey)
The Kierite are a peaceful race that watch over us and sometimes appear to guide us through life. Though most are benevolent, some are more mischievous. Beings composed purely of energy, they appear to us as nebulas, star formations, and other celestial occurrences. They can take on corporeal forms to visit us at will, usually appearing in a time of crisis, or to those seeking wisdom. While they allowed our ancestors to see them, appearing often enough to incur tales of their existence, the hectic life of modern humanity has caused them to draw back. Some of the Kieriten have spent a lot of time on Earth, while others choose not to visit.
Across many stories from different cultures around the world, one will discover many consistencies, with various spirit or totemic creatures appearing to individuals seeking wisdom or guidance, or even playing tricks on early humans.
Most of the Kieriten choose to stay amongst the stars, but when they do visit Earth, they choose mainly animal forms of great strength and grace. While they are themselves genderless, different cultures throughout history have assigned them genders at various times. Most will consistently pick the same animal form throughout their lifespan, which can stretch for many millennia.
While they may appear as simple beasts, they are not the same as ordinary creatures; the inner glow of these powerful beings cannot be completely hidden and manifests itself in luminous eyes and a fire-like glow from their mouths when they open them. Their true natures are also seen when they move - as a slight shimmer along their coats. Each of the Kieriten has a distinctive set of markings, used in their society to distinguish individuals from each other when in alternate forms. These markings are consistent, no matter the form taken by the individual."
