Cade is a little shit.
Have a reference.
Name: Cade
Nicknames/Alias: Crazy, Cee,
Age: appears to be 18-20, is secretive about it
Gender: Male.
Sexuality: Asexual
Date of Birth: ???
Nationality: Japanese, New Edo
Occupation: Technician, prototyper for military grade Bionics and prosthetics. Repairs limbs and mechs part time in the evenings.
Appearance: Cade is a half elf with messily styled black hair with a hot pink highlight in his fringe. he's got a highly visible ocular implant in one eye that is slightly bigger than his normal iris.
He also has both arms and legs replaced with high-tech robotic limbs.
About: Cade got handpicked straight out of school for his outstanding work in bionics and robotics, he quickly specialized himself in on the mech symbiosis part of his job and is a very useful asset to his team... too bad he is batshit fucking crazy.
After about a year of working, Cade lost his leg when a piece of heavy equipment fell on it, tragic, but accidents happen.
But this is where his crazy started shining through, after recovery he went back to the shop after hours, called the ambulance, and promptly measured, then stuck his other leg under the beam of the laser cutter.
in his own words, aiming to get them 'even'.
He still worked during his recovery, mostly on the computers. being wheelchair bound, and also not allowed near any of the larger equipment without supervision.
When he recovered and his prosthetic neural ports could be fitted, he started using the very things he was designing, trying out new ideas without having to go through getting outside test subjects and without any regard for his own safety. His team started thinking his accident was planned ahead of time but didnt really say much.
He'd test prototypes on himself and allow his coworkers to do the same. He'd also test the things they were working on as a team as well, bypassing getting outside help that usually slowed them down.
Nothing eventful happened for a while until he showed up at work with a bandage around his head needing help to install an ocular implant he had developed on his free time, not being able to do it on his own in front of the mirror.
Despite being considered a risk and more than a little crazy, his ideas and solutions, as well as his usefulness to the team made his superiors put up with his self mutilation on promise that none of it would happen on work grounds, and on Cades terms that he would be able to buy himself prostethics on a fairly discounted price if he didnt sue or abandon his position.
Cade later had his arms taken care of, but only after getting a psych evaluation and letting actual doctors do the work, for once.
People at his job have gotten strangely used to it, rarely bat an eye when Cade shows up with something bandaged or wrapped up.
He managed to pay down the arms, but still owes money on the legs. he has extra simpler pairs he wears when the others are charging
He started doing black market repairs in the evenings to whoever bids in order to get extra money to pay down what he owes. Getting himself into underground mech fighting rings and just repairing stolen things if needed. he does not ask questions, and gets his work done quick and professionally.
Cade is set on making as much of his body as possible robotic.
Might suffer from Body integrity identity disorder?

yess, he's in a world me and a few friends are making called New Tamarack.
alternate futuristic New york. Its sort of, a world where the apocalypse happened and people and the economy recovered.
Its in the future, and there is an overhanging apple-like cooperation that has their fingers in everything, clones, robots, dark underground and its great :D

Very cool character. Tough life to deal with the loss of limbs. I notice many with cyborg characters like always imagine that they sleep without their prosthetics. I be always though of it that they will keep sending sensations as they sleep that make it tough to ignore. Does cade have any one reason he Does?
Thanks man, Cade is kinda the one who was hellbendt on removing his own limbs, so even tho he struggled a bit in the beginning (getting used to walking again and all that) he is happy.
Feeling Phantom limb pain is always gonna be an issue i think, but since this is the future i bet they have some ways to deal with it during sleep. maybe some sort of filter on how much the neural ports pick up during the night?
Cade mainly removes his more fancy limbs at night to let them recharge, he has his runners legs and his simple arm within reach since its easier to connect them, if he needs to get up during the night.
I guess its a level of comfort to him too, metal taking a long time to heat up to body temperature, not having to bother with the weight of them when trying to sleep?
