My first batch of macarons! I didn't know they were primarily made with almond flour, which explains their unique texture. These are vanilla with blackberry buttercream in the centers, using blackberries foraged in the woods near our house.

I think you'd enjoy french macarons, they're such an interesting mouthfeel. Melt-in-your-mouth cookie with a cloud of air underneath each dome, and they come in so many good flavors.
