This vicious variant of the standard NARC beacon replaces the missile homing device with a powerful set of noise emitters. When the pod is attached to the surface of a battlemech or vehicle, it starts to emit a constant sound on a very low frequency. Using the armor plates as an amplifier, the sound eventually find its way into the cockpit. While it's not audible directly, the frequency interacts with the bones of the pilot and the crew, slowly rattling down their nerves. Eventually they will literally freak out and turn into maniacs that shoot on anything that moves, no matter if it's a friend or foe. This way, a 'mech being hit by an insanity pod will become a greater danger for its own comrades than for the opponent.
